Stainless Steel 304 - S30400
- Variation of Type 302 with the addition of higher chromium and lower carbon content
- Minimized carbide precipitation when welded
- Usually can be used in “as welded” condition without anneal and still retain corrosion resistance
- Used in food service equipment, architectural, chemical, paper and pharmaceutical applications
